Summary

Things start out on the first day of school as Aoki sensei arrives at his new class. He opens the door... to a room full of little girls changing clothes. Probably not the best way to begin the school year. During roll call, Rin starts asking Aoki sensei all sorts of personal questions, and says that he has to be her boyfriend starting right away because he saw her naked. There's an uproar, and another teacher comes down to shush the noise. In the teachers' office, a female teacher gives him some tea and comforts him. He then asks about a student who's been gone all month - Mimi-chan. Apparently she quit school. But why?

Outside during lunch, Aoki sees a cat, and calls it over. Rin appears and begins to feed it. She begs him not to run it off, and says that adults are all full of lies - that they will say one thing and then do another. Aoki says that he's not like that, that he likes cats. Suddenly the cat takes a swipe at him, and cuts his finger. Rin sucks on it to stop the bleeding in an extremely sexual manner.

In the next class, they're practicing handwriting, and when Aoki goes to help Kuro by holding her brush hand to guide her writing, she calls him a lolicon. Rin writes something completely perverted (it's actually censored in the show, but I'm guessing it's the "please come inside me" line from the manga). Then she offers him a "*******" which I assume is probably blow-job, or hand-job, or something else that I don't want to think about.

After class, Aoki meets up with Hoin sensei, the attractive female teacher. She wants to show Aoki a textbook that one of the former teachers was using. Apparently there's something bad in it - the pages are scrawled with student writing calling the former teacher names and telling him to quit. Rin, who's still at school, walks in and says that she did it, only because it was the same thing that that teacher did. Apparently he said bad stuff to Mimi, and that's why she quit school. When Aoki threatens to call Rin's parents, she drops her panties and tells him that she wonders what would happen if she screamed just then. Then Kuro shows up and tells Aoki that if he does anything about this, she'll make him suffer like their former teacher.

Aoki goes to Mimi's house to talk to her. He tries to convince her to come back to school. He appeals to her by believing her story about being picked on by the teacher.

The next day their feline friend goes up a tree, and Rin goes up to save it. Now they're both caught up in the tree. Then the branch breaks and Aoki rushes to save Rin. The three friends thank him later by pulling up their skirts for him.

Thoughts

While not as graphic as the OVA release (most stuff is censored visually in some way), you still know exactly what's going on here, and it makes me squirm. I can't see the humor in a show like this, because I don't think that it's funny to sexualize children in any way, shape or form.

Since the manga release of Kodomo no Jikan (under the title Nymphet) was ultimately dropped right before publication in the US, I'm hoping that the anime will never come crawling to these shores. Especially since I've heard that the Japanese DVD releases remove a lot of the censorship that the TV broadcasts has put into place.
